About two years ago, a group of people came together with one goal in mind. . . to make people laugh. Calling themselves the “Hi Town Rollers” Danno, Lance, and Brady collaborated on songs and skits that melded together perfectly for their first comedy CD titled, “No Worry Beef Curry”.
Danno, the founding member of the group explained that everybody has a role in the troupe. Lance functions as the main musician and producer, Brady is the singer/songwriter, and Dan himself is a lot of comedic influence. There is even a fourth member who sings a song entitled “I’m A Little Mermaid” on the album, Danno’s daughter, Asley Malia.
With the overall goal of just making people laugh, the group has put together an album that draws from a local style of comedy that is sure to get a giggle from just about anybody in Hawaii. The observational humor teamed with the musical stylings of Hi Town Rollers makes their particular flavor quite interesting. Like the old days of Adam Sandler comedy albums, Hi Town Rollers are hoping that with a success of their first project, a second may be in the works.
