Arrested Development Is Back

The Bluth family returns in a ten episode stockpile that will hit Netflix next year all at once. This fourth season of the fan favorite show, Arrested Development, will serve as an appetizer and a set up for a full length feature film.

As one of the best TV shows ever to get canned, AD is a cult classic. With the all star cast, and plot twists a-plenty, AD made heads turn while on air, and fans grumble when it was cancelled.

One of the biggest supporters, and the voice of the show, Ron Howard, has been keeping many people hopeful while the future was uncertain. Though there were rumors of a movie, many discredited it immediately. But Howard kept the fans in the loop, and we thank him for it. It is even rumored that he will step in front of the camera this season instead of just narrating.

“It’s been away for a while, and part of the fun that Mitch has been mining and exploiting is, what’s new to discover about these people? What’s delightfully unchanged?” Howard continues. “He and the writing staff and the actors have a fantastic sense of that. They’re pretty brazen, pretty bold and fearless. That’s what made the show into something that fans really kept alive.”

Since reaching the set, cast members have been sending fans into a frenzy with pictures posted to twitter. There has been so much buzz surrounding the show that people are reaching for any information they can get. It was leaked that the hilarious cast of Workaholics will make cameos in the show. In fact, it was even leaked today that AMC’s Mad Men star, John Slattery, will appear in several episodes, though his role is unknown. Some say he will be the voice of an animated toilet, but nothing is truly known for sure at this point.

“It’s great. People stopped believing me when I would say ‘I think it’s going to happen! I can’t guarantee it, but I think it’s going to happen!’ It really is a thrill,” Howard continues. “I visited the set last week. It’s a blast over there. [Creator] Mitch Hurwitz has such a remarkable, creative voice. It’s the perfect set of actors to bring it to life. I’m so glad it’s back. I’m a fan, too. The scripts are hilarious.”

No matter who they put on the set, Arrested Development will draw a crowd. The smart humor mixed with the crazy antics and “what’s gonna happen next” feel make it the stand out show that it is. Of all the people involved who are happy to be working on AD again, nobody could be happier about it than the fans. We spoke, they listened. Arrested Development is Back!
